EAAT - Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies
It is widely recognised that the interaction between people and horses has many powerful benefits. These cross the physical, mental, emotional and intellectual spheres.
Horses therefore complement the work of many practitioners such as Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapist’s, Educationalists and Psychotherapists. The movement of the horse’s walk closely mimics the evolution of human walking. The horse's walk thus stimulates and synthesises human walk, making it a transformational treatment base. The scope for transferring learning from the horse’s environment to life skills acquisition is also significant.
