World Stroke Awareness Day
A stroke can happen to anyone, at anytime, anywhere.
Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide, but almost all strokes could be prevented. 1 in 4 adults will have a stroke in their lifetime.
World Stroke Day is an opportunity to raise awareness of the serious nature and high rates of stroke and talk about ways in which we can reduce the burden of stroke through better public awareness of the risk factors and signs of stroke.
We want to support local survivors and caregivers with this special day out to raise awareness that a stroke can happen to anyone, at anytime, anywhere. We would like to talk to potential partners and supporters to make this a memorable day out.
